Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)

Since April 2008, all new build residential houses have required an EPC as part of the SAP calculation.

As a property-owner or residential landlord who is thinking of selling or renting, it is your responsibility to ensure that your property has an EPC detailing your property's energy efficiency rating.

The certificate provides 'A' to G' rating for the building with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least.

An EPC is always accompanied by a recommendation report that lists cost effective measures (such as low and zero carbon generating systems) to improve the energy rating. A rating is also given showing what could be achieved if all the recommendations were implemented.

Abbey Consultants are able to provide you with the necessary certification to ensure you meet your responsibilities under the new regulations.
