Stop heat and energy escaping from your building.
Meeting the Building Regulations standards efficiently and cost effectively requires acute attention to detail in every area of the assessment. As a major contributor to heat loss within a building, air leakage must be measured, identified and controlled to ensure compliance.
Approved Document Part L2A of the Building Regulation stipulates that a new building should achieve a test result of 10m3/hr2 or lower. The target that you need to meet is set by your SBEM assessment. Generally units of 500m2 or less can avoid an air test provided the BER can is lower than the TER with a DAP set at 15m3/hr.
Accuracy and timeliness go hand in hand when it comes to air tightness testing and, where necessary, these results can be issued, uploaded and lodged with ATTMA the same day as the test.
Air Tightness Testing is carried out by our UKAS-accredited, ATTMA assessors (Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association).
