We were appointed by Jerram Falkus on behalf of Newham Borough Council to undertake the SBEM, daylight and BREEAM assessments on the 2010m2 Eleanor Smith special needs secondary school for children who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
Energy Requirements:
London Plan and therefore a target 35% improvement over building regulations necessary.
Heating was a combination of Air Source Source Heat pumps and conventional boilers.
Naturally ventilated using wind catchers.
BREEAM target rating of Excellent sought.
Daylight calculations were prepared purely on the basis of BREEAM credits.
