Stop heat and energy escaping from your development.
Meeting the Building Regulations standards efficiently and cost effectively requires acute attention to detail in every area of the assessment. As a major contributor to heat loss within a building, air leakage through Air Testing must be measured, identified and controlled to ensure compliance.
Approved Document Part L1A of the Building Regulation stipulates that a new dwelling should achieve a test result of 10m3/hr2 or lower. The target that you need to meet is set by your SAP assessment, but generally is around 4 – 6, depending upon your ventilation system.
Accuracy and timeliness go hand in hand when it comes to air tightness testing and, where necessary, these results can be issued, uploaded and lodged with ATTMA the same day as the test.
Air Testing is carried out by our UKAS-accredited, BINDT registered ATTMA assessors (Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association).
Our Air testers are also qualified to carry out Domestic Ventilation Testing. This can be carried out on the same visit as the air testing negating the need for a separate visit and helps reduce time and costs to the developer.
